The sea intake is designed for meeting seawater process needs of Science-adaptative building and Oceanarium with dolphinarium.
Unique character: intake capacity 500 m3/h.
Intake facility is located near the edge of maximum water surface, and pump house — near the coast terrace above flood-plain. There are flow pipes between the intake facility and pump house through which water comes to inlet chamber of sea intake at the expense of work of vacuum system. Water is supplied to seawater collection tanks with the help of pumps and then to the network.
Unique equipment installed in the house of sea intake: vertical chemically resistant pumps Fybroc 5500 (manufactured in USA), which are designed for seawater as well as any aggressive environment. The pumps are always submerged and require no additional equipment for priming before starting.
Equipment installed in the sea intake conforms to the highest European and Russian standards.
Work of first stage pump station is automatized, so it doesn’t require permanent presence of maintenance staff.
